The storage of cement requires particularly careful observance of the applicable regulations. Cement as a moisture-sensitive material should be stored in very dry conditions, indoor rooms, on wooden platforms, at a distance of approx 0,5 m from the walls, in layers at most after 10 bags, horizontally on top of each other. Do not store it for a long period of time, because after three months, especially with high overlap of bags, is partially or almost completely fossilized by absorbing moisture from the air. Petrified cement is not suitable for construction works and can only be used as an admixture for minor works (e.g.. pavement tiles) with the addition of fresh cement. The storage of clinker-free slag cement should not exceed 1,5 do 2 months.
